7 Wedding Day Makeup Tips.

FR SKIN CARE

Ah, hair and makeup. What you do every day, it comes so merely. Small eyeliner, light blush, pale lipstick, cover yourself against that stupid little button that decided to pop up all night and come out the door! FAIL!

The makeup of your wedding needs to be improved. If you opt for your natural daytime look - browns, beige, nude lips, pale pink, etc., you have to go up a few notches. First, the images look MUCH better when you have depth in your eyes, your cheeks and lips can shine. My biggest recommendation for a bride on her wedding day - OUTSOURCE. Ask a makeup artist to make up your makeup and to call a hairdresser to come and do your hair at your hotel! Better yet, find someone who does both! Do not worry about this detail when the cost is usually minimal. On a budget? You can develop a plan with the makeup artist so that your ladies pay a specific amount each, and they pay that amount. It's your day; all eyes will be on you. Do it. Oh, and I know people, so let me know if you need references.

Of course, some of you will not consider my advice. So here are my essential makeup tips for the bride who is trying to be a Do-It-Yourselfer.

1) Colour colour colour is NOT always your friend. Choose ONE feature you want to focus on. Your eyes, your lips or your cheeks. (It's hard to focus on your cheeks without looking like a clown, so I'll stick with the first two!)

2) Even if you do not focus on the eyes, you still want to make sure you give them depth. What do I mean by wisdom? Give the dimension of the shape of the eyes. If you opt for nature, use a dark brown, a medium brown and a light brown. Dark brown is applied in the fold. The middle brown on the outer edge of the top lid and melted in the other corner of the eye. The light brown goes from the fold and merges with the brow bone. You will also want to mix some of the bright brown colors into the part of your lid closest to your nose. Dab this fold and blend the colour towards the brow bone to open the eyes.

3) Get your eyebrows shaved, strung, pleated, folded, trimmed, Nair'd, or something like that! You do not want these cuts lovey-dovey close-up pictures to end with crazy and erratic eyebrow madness! (The cut-off part can undoubtedly work for the gentleman too!)

4) My favourite makeup is M-A-C. It's more expensive, but DAMN is doing an outstanding job. Get high-definition makeup and let M-A-C representatives show you how to do it! They are there for that - but make sure they do not think you want to look like a drag queen!

5) false eyelashes. NOT those of Halloween !! Use the separates. These are small clusters of false eyelashes on which you press. And do not push them on your eyelid. Use them to emphasize the outer corners of your eyes. Your eyes will shine, shine and shine everywhere.

6) SHIMMER POWDER! It's incredible. Place it on the area just under the eyebrow to emphasize the brow bone.

7) Practice makes perfect. Train before the day so that you can perfect your skills and build your makeup complete for the day.
